Mrs. Maria Velasquez is our Parent Representative here at Ninth Street Elementary (Room 120). She hosts workshops alongside Principal Reyes and other staff members, opening up her warm and welcoming Parent Center for our families in the morning.

Go Pass Program enrollment

✦ Eligible students are provided a TAP card for public transport on Tuesday mornings from 8-9:30am.

Parent Technology Workshop 

✦ Parents experiencing technology issues related to ECF devices, LAUSD Parent Portal, Class Dojo, or any other school related web/tech are supported on Wednesdays from 8:30-9:30am.

Coffee with the Principal 

✦ Parents meet with Principal Reyes in the Parent Center every last Thursday of the month to discuss relevant material ranging from events to important information.

Safety Meetings

✦ Principal Reyes engages with parents to inform them of important safety precautions and protocols in case of an emergency. 

Parent Book Club

✦ Parents are welcome to join Mrs. Velasquez and Principal Reyes for a weekly book club reading and discussion in the morning. 

Familias Fuertes

✦ Wellness workshop presenting information and strategies to improve your families resilience.

Mrs. Velasquez also supports our families who are eligible for the Mobile Laundry Service when the commodity is provided from 7-8:30am. When this student support program visits campus, it will be announced via Class Dojo or announced to students/parents. Likewise for our non-recurring/scheduled programs and workshops listed above.
